Charity racehorse painting makes £4,450 for WellChild!

Delighted to announce that my racehorse painting of Giant Bolster winning at iconic Cheltenham Racecourse made £4,450 for WellChild charity.

Giant Bolster Painting by Emily Johnson

Quite a nail-biting experience experience watching the bids come in across Festival week at Cheltenham Racecourse. As their official artist-in-residence, I was more than happy to create and donate a bespoke painting for them to auction for their chosen charity.

Knowing it’s all about tactics, racegoers knew how to play the game, waiting until the final few minutes before placing their bids! With a final flurry, bidding closed with a healthy £4,450 raised for the local charity.

Grateful for the opportunity to help raise needed funds for such a well-deserving charity.
