“This piece makes me smile every time I look at it. Full on every and drama, this piece shows a jockey coming round the final bend and I they know they have the race in the bag. I’ve never ridden in a race before, I can only imagine what this must feel like”

Emily created this energetic charcoal piece on a beautiful extra fine poly cotton 253gsm canvas. Using a variety of unusual techniques she experimented with the charcoal creating drama and movement throughout the piece. Coating the piece with varnish removes the need for glass, allowing viewers to get up and personal with this striking piece.

The original works are the ‘one off’ original artworks created by Emily Johnson at her studio in Gloucestershire. Original artwork comes framed in a beautiful dark solid wood float frame. Please allow an additional 4-6cm on length and height sizes to allow for framing.
