This is an original watercolour by equestrian artist Emily Johnson.

“Words can’t describe the feeling the first time you see a hunt out in the english countryside. It leaves you lost for words. The sound of the horns, the dogs barking, the hooves on the ground. You feel like you could be at any moment in time from the last 200 years.

Of course a controversial subject, however a part of our heritage that can still be seen today. I don’t think anyone could deny the beauty of seeing the man, horse and hounds out in the British countryside.”

This line and wash original sketch was created using watercolour and fountain pen on a luxurious mottled watercolour paper.
